Atletico held to a draw by Sevilla

Atletico Madrid missed the opportunity to go to the top of La Liga after their four-match winning league run was ended by a goalless draw against Sevilla.

Atletico moved level on points with Barcelona following the champions' 2-1 win at Malaga on Saturday but remain second on goal difference.

Sevilla, without an away league win, survived the last half hour with 10 men after Victor Vitolo's second caution.

Antoine Griezmann headed against a post from Atletico's best chance.

Diego Simeone's side now face a top-of-the-table meeting with Barca at the Nou Camp next Saturday.

Earlier, Athletic Bilbao ended Eibar 's four-match winning run with a 5-2 victory, helped by two more goals from 25-goal top scorer Aritz Aduriz.
