Blackburn will give a late test to Corry Evans, who has a groin problem, and are unlikely to risk loanee Doneil Henry, who has a tight hamstring.
Darragh Lenihan (back) also faces a late test but skipper Grant Hanley is set to return after a knee problem.
Rotherham will wait on Danny Ward, who "took a whack" against Wolves, according to manager Neil Redfearn.
Stephen Kelly is doubtful with a calf strain but full-back Joe Mattock is expected back after a hamstring pull.
- Blackburn have won 11 of their last 13 home league matches against Rotherham (D1 L1).
- The Millers have scored in 14 of their last 16 league meetings with Rovers.
- Blackburn are unbeaten in six league games (W3 D3); avoiding defeat to Rotherham would be their longest run without defeat since May.
- After failing to score in his previous 28 league games for Rotherham and Peterborough, Joe Newell has hit the mark in two of his last three appearances.
- Winger Craig Conway has created 70 chances this season, 21 more than any other Championship player.
- The Millers have used 30 players in the Championship this season, more than any other side.
