TEAM NEWS

Bournemouth will assess goalkeeper Artur Boruc, who missed last weekend's draw at Swansea with a knee injury.

Marc Pugh is expected to miss out with a calf problem, while Tommy Elphick, Callum Wilson, Tyrone Mings and Max Gradel are long-term absentees.

Fit-again full-back Leighton Baines could be included in Everton's matchday squad for the first time this season.

Midfielder Muhamed Besic has also recovered from injury and may be involved.

However, Steven Pienaar, Bryan Oviedo and Tony Hibbert remain unavailable.

MOTD COMMENTATOR'S NOTES

John Motson: "The first ever league meeting between these sides promises much, as both play very entertaining football.

"I commentated on Bournemouth's 4-3 victory at West Ham in August, but despite several encouraging performances they have only claimed one further victory.

"The defence has looked vulnerable, conceding five goals against both Manchester City and Tottenham, and they will have their hands full against Everton.

"The key will be to contain in-form trio Romelu Lukaku, Ross Barkley and Gerard Deulofeu.

"The Toffees have come up short against the Premier League's pace-setters this season, losing to Arsenal and both Manchester clubs, but they have terrorised the division's lesser lights - thrashing Sunderland and Aston Villa in recent weeks."

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "The last two games have been right up there as our best performances for a long, long time.

"We just haven't found those goals when we've needed them, but we are confident that they will come.

"As long as the work rate and effort is as high as it is at the moment, then I can only seen this team improving."

Everton manager Roberto Martinez: "We have arguably the strongest squad we have had for a long time in terms of numbers and players in good moments of form.

"The understanding and tempo we have in possession comes from the tempo in training.

"That comes from the competition we have for places and everyone pushing themselves to the maximum to get into the starting line-up."

LAWRO'S PREDICTION

This is a gut feeling more than anything else, but I am going to go for a Bournemouth win.

It is certainly not based on their previous form, but they are still creating chances and scoring goals and I think they will get the win they have been waiting for on Saturday.
