TEAM NEWS

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is available after three months out, while Nemanja Matic is fit despite needing a facial mask to protect his broken nose.

However, John Terry, Ramires and Radamel Falcao are not yet ready to return following injury lay-offs.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has refused to say whether goalkeepers Artur Boruc and Adam Federici will be available to play at Stamford Bridge.

If neither is fit, Ryan Allsop will make his first Premier League start.

Midfielder Harry Arter is out with a hamstring injury but should return soon.

MOTD COMMENTATOR'S NOTES

Steve Wilson: "Bournemouth and Chelsea may only have taken a point each last weekend but both managers seemed well satisfied with that.

"Jose Mourinho declared it Chelsea's best performance in weeks, whilst Eddie Howe delighted in his side's character to come back against Everton in a game they twice seemed to have lost.

"You have to feel for Howe. There were always going to be some tough days for Bournemouth this season, but to have his most expensive signings injured and potentially be down to his third-choice goalkeeper seems particularly cruel.

"Bournemouth continue to ignore adversity and try to play with verve and spirit, but if they get anything at all at Stamford Bridge then Mourinho really will be at rock bottom."

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho on Diego Costa: "For me, there are no questions marks. For one game he was on the bench and for me, for a player, that is natural, He always tries and gives his best.

"I don't need a reaction from him. I just need him to be what he is and try hard."

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "Whenever you get injuries, it is a test and a challenge for your squad to adapt.

"Certain people have been given opportunities that maybe would not have expected to get them, but they have grasped them in recent weeks.

"I think whoever is called upon will step up and help the team."

LAWRO'S PREDICTION

I don't see Bournemouth causing Chelsea too many problems. Their late comeback against Everton showed there is nothing wrong with their spirit, but they will need more than that at Stamford Bridge.
