Brad Friedel: Former Spurs keeper takes charge of USA Under-19s

Former Spurs, Aston Villa and Blackburn goalkeeper Brad Friedel has been named head coach of the USA Under-19 team.

Friedel, who also played for Liverpool and Galatasaray, ended his playing career in the summer at the age of 44.

"I look forward to the opportunity to help develop our young players into professionals and full internationals," Friedel said.

Friedel played 82 times for the United States during a 13-year international career, appearing at two World Cups.
