Napoli will return to the top if they win at Bologna on Sunday. Earlier, Roma lost ground in the title race when Torino snatched a 1-1 draw.
Miralem Pjanic looked to have won the match for Roma when an error from Torino goalkeeper Daniele Padelli allowed his free-kick to sneak in seven minutes from time.
However, Maxi Lopez converted a penalty deep in stoppage time after Kostas Manolas was adjudged to have tripped Andrea Belotti in the area.
