Neymar is a major doubt for Barcelona's home game against Deportivo La Coruna because of a groin strain.

The Brazil forward was injured in training on Tuesday and missed the 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen.

A club statement read: "The Brazilian's presence in the next few matches will depend on how the injury progresses."

La Liga leaders Barca are not in domestic action again until 30 December, as they prepare to fly to Japan for the Fifa Club World Cup.

"We have an exciting and attractive target with the Club World Cup, but it would be very sad for us to slip up in the league," said boss Luis Enrique.

Enrique denied forward Lionel Messi was injured, saying: "Messi is absolutely fine. The Barca fans can relax."
