Sheffield Wednesday held off a spirited Brighton side to reach the Championship play-off final at Wembley on 28 May.
Ross Wallace, who scored in the Owls' 2-0 first-leg win on Friday, equalised after 28 minutes following defender Lewis Dunk's opener for Brighton.
Dunk volleyed in a set-piece from Anthony Knockaert, who also hit the post with a free-kick during a dominant first-half display by the hosts.
But Wallace's cross drifted in to secure a 3-1 aggregate victory.
Wednesday, who finished sixth in the final Championship table and 15 points behind third-placed Brighton, will face either Derby or Hull - who take a 3-0 lead into the second leg of their semi-final on Tuesday - at Wembley.
Victory there will take the Owls into the top flight for the first time since 2000.
