Andy Mangan's header helped League One Shrewsbury Town upset Championship Cardiff City to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup in a largely poor game.
In front a sparse crowd and after a lifeless hour, striker Mangan rose at the back post to head in Scott Vernon's cross in the 62nd minute.
Bluebirds striker Federico Macheda was then denied by Shrews keeper Mark Halstead when clear through on goal.
Town midfielder Ian Black hit the post from 18 yards in the final stages.
