Erik Sviatchenko: Celtic medical for £1.5m Midtjylland defender

Denmark central defender Erik Sviatchenko is having a medical before a proposed £1.5m transfer from Midtjylland to Celtic.

The 24-year-old made his international debut in March and has since earned three more caps.

Sviatchenko has come through the youth ranks with Danish champions Midtjylland, with whom he has Champions League experience.

He is the son of Ukraine-born multi-artist Sergei Sviatchenko.
